Part Time Associate Attorney
Location: Remote Position (WA)
A qualified applicant will be licensed in Washington state. At least 2 years of experience in a general, broad range practice, including business and estate planning is required. A customer-service based approach is preferred. Ability to work independently is a must.
You will be primarily doing 30 minute client intakes. This is a remote position, and so you will be able to work from home. Additionally, this a part time, salary position.
We are looking to fill this position by March 1st.
Location: Washington State
A qualified applicant will be licensed in Washington state and will have 2 or more year of experience in a focused areas of practice such as bankruptcy, tax, or another practice area. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team is a must.
You will spearhead client lead generation and representation in your primary practice area. A successful new associate should be independent, self- motivated, and maintain a proven and potable client base with a minimum annual gross revenue of $100,000. After an acclamation period, you may be provided the opportunity to work and build your practice remotely. The position may require travel to Snohomish County and King County courts, and surrounding areas.
Preferred Location: Mukilteo, WA
A qualified applicant will have 1-2 years of experience as an administrative assistant (preferably in a law firm or in a corporate legal department), legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, the ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines, efficient typing skills, and be detail-oriented and highly organized. Experience with law office case management software is desired but not required.
A good candidate must handle pressure well, and understand the importance of deadlines. They must also know how to relate to people in a variety of situations, be highly trustworthy, discreet, and use good judgment.
You will be expected to organize and review lengthy client files, draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, assist with case review, communicate with clients with case updates, and manage, organize, and maintain documents in case management and electronic filing systems. You will also provide general administrative assistance, such as processing incoming and outgoing mail, handling a multi-line phone system, faxing, filing and efiling legal documents, scanning, and other general administrative tasks.
